Description

The arches and chandeliers inside Notre-Dame de Paris with its stained glass windows in the background. Retouched in Photoshop Elements 5.0. I honestly don't know much about photography, so please feel free to rip it apart! I really want to know what I can improve on particularly as far as composition goes. :)

I really hate that that white sign is in the way, I feel like it's placed so I can't crop it out. Do you guys think I should try to photoshop it out (not sure how good of a job I'd do) or leave it?

For a view like this I would use a tripod, selftimer, a very slow speed, a large f to get a great depth of field......a wide angle lens to include all that is needed.
Keep shooting....your drawings are very good.

the two pillars in the foreground, either include them by going back-wards or move forwards and get rid of them
I like the look of the 3 chandeliers, nice pattery...

Your getting there, keep shooting and keep posting !

The composition looks a bit tilted.

The white balance looks also a bit off (yellow instead of white). Doing what Carlos (aka Madanapale) suggests will help you around this problem.

Keep practising and continue to share your results here on gfx! :)

All good advice from the 3 pros above. I particularly agree with Brian on the columns. Keep shooting and try to take as many different angles as possible to give you different composition choices. This is a difficult subject but you got the exposure correct. Keep working on composition.

Thanks for all of the great advice, guys! I'll definitely keep it in mind the next time I get camera happy.
