Painting done of my friend's roleplaying character for her birthday. Was going for an EXTREMELY dark effect. Done in acrylics in... I'll say about five hours. Reference picture of a rearing friesian used for the horse; everything else was freehanded.

Very well done but it lacks a little of contrast. The photo is a little bit too grainy

Diane- thanks ^^;, and thanks for the crit- the background was actually lighter than it is the picture, had more blue.... speaking of the picture, I know, bad quality =\ I wish I had another one, but my friend has the painting LOL!
